Eva M. Works

Eva M. Works, 65, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at University Hospital. She was born June 5, 1946 in Auburn, Alabama a daughter of Dave and Mary Brundage. A Syracuse University Alumni, she was employed at Agway for over 30 years retiring in 2004. Eva was a devoted wife, mother and sister, whom cherished her grandchildren and was the matriarch of her family. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling with her sisters.
Surviving are her husband, John H. Works, of 44 years, a daughter, Melissa L. Works; son, Terrance L. Works, both of Syracuse; two grandchildren, Quineese Works, Aariel C. Works; five brothers, Linzell Brundage, Larry (Annie)Brundage, Dave Brundage, all of Louisville, Kentucky, Earl (Beverly) Brundage of Miami, Florida, Rickey Brundage of Auburn, Alabama; three sisters, Jessie Jones of Syracuse, Shirley Graham and Patricia Brundage, both of Liverpool, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Thursday 10 am at All Saints Church, Syracuse. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Syracuse University Relay For Life or to the Syracuse University Women's Rugby Club in regards to Susan G. Komen Game for the Cure.
