Eugene R. Caples, 71, formerly of Baldwinsville passed away Tuesday following a long illness. Born in Syracuse he worked at Sears for several years. He enjoyed golf, karate, gardening, birds, wildlife and coin collecting. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Josephine Caples and his brother Jim Caples.
He is survived by his daughter Michele (Dominick) Bellardini, his brothers, David (Mary) Caples, Arthur (Gertha) Caples, a sister-in-law; Shirley Caples, his grandchildren; Adelio and Dante Bellardini and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 6 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, De Witt. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-6 PM, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
