Eugene Kadlubowski

January 29, 1933 — June 2, 2020

Eugene "Gene" Kadlubowski, passed away on June 02, 2020 in Syracuse, NY after struggling to recover for four months following knee surgery. Gene was born in Syracuse to Francis (Frank) and Josephine (nee Wesalawski) on January 29, 1933.

Gene was a hard worker all his life. He worked at General Electric/Martin Marietta/ Lockheed Martin through most of his adult life- 69 years at the same plant located on Electronics Parkway in Liverpool. Though 87 years old, Gene was still on the payroll at Lockheed at the time of his death. At home and at work Gene possessed a "MacGyver" style mind. He could fix anything with a paper clip, a stick of gum, and some duct tape. He had a very active, curious mind and never got tired of learning. Gene's love of the outdoors came from his father who taught him how to fish on Cross Lake. That love later took Gene to Oneida Lake where he built his house in Constantia and provided a comfortable home for himself and his beloved dogs. In the fall, Gene took his dogs pheasant hunting or joined his son and grandson for deer hunting. Come winter, Gene loaded up his sled and headed out ice fishing right in front of his house.

Gene was predeceased by his parents; his brother Hipolit (Frank), and sisters, Hedwig (Jay), Frances, and Jane.

He is survived by his brother Henry Cadell of Potomac, Maryland. He is also survived by his four children, Mary Pat, Marcia, Eugene P.(Tammy) & Maureen Breiland; two grandchildren, Matthew and Mallory and one great-granddaughter, Shelby.

There will be no services.
