September 29, 1939 — April 26, 2021

Ethel B. Truax, 81, of Syracuse, passed away on April 26, 2021 surrounded by family after a long illness. Ethel was born in Syracuse on September 29, 1939 daughter of the late Al and Eldena Waldby. Ethel retired from Delaware School in Syracuse. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Syracuse.

She is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Victoria) Truax, Edward Truax, 4 grandchildren; Jeremy, Victoria, William & Jessica, 5 great grandchildren; Eli, Sophia, Kenley, Devyn & Julian, along with her siblings, Mary, Eldena, Connie and Andy.
She was predeceased by her son, Fredrick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 6th from 11-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial to follow at Loomis Hill Cemetery in Syracuse.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
