Ethel M. Ponzo, 84, of Syracuse died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital. A native of Syracuse, she was the daughter of Hugh and Inez Allen Trumble. She was predeceased by her husband, Mario M. Ponzo in 1992.
Surviving are three daughters, Valerie (Thomas) Wilkins, Debra (Tony) Strabo and Inez Ponzo; three sons, Clyde (Melanie) Pangburn, Charles Champion and Mario II (Anita DeMarchi) Ponzo; a sister, Eulia Mason; two brothers, Lloyd and Dale Trumble; many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services and burial will be private.
