Ethel L. Chipperfield

Ethel L. Chipperfield, 94, of Centerville Court, North Syracuse passed away Wednesday at Malta House. Ethel lived a very full life. She retired from Pass & Seymour, managed Life Uniform Shop and Boca Raton Sea Club. Ethel also owned and operated the Gateway Restaurant in Florida.
Ethel had many interests. She was the president of North Syracuse Seniors and enjoyed being the travel coordinator and craft instructor. She forged many memorable friendships during her 35 years at NSS and Centerville.
She had vast amounts of love for her family and cherished the time spent together. She was proud of her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their accomplishments. Ethel had a strong bond with her step family and felt grateful for their love and support.
She had a zest for life, an infectious laugh and a positive "can do" attitude. We will miss her deeply, but celebrate the spirit in which she lived.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Roy D. Chipperfield and son, Donald M. Harrington.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Fred) Kelly; two step-sons, James (Shirley) Chipperfield and Roy (Terri) Chipperfield; a step daughter, Bonnie (Tom) Taylor; a brother, George (Mary) Grants; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; 26 step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 3-6PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, 10 AM at St. Matthews Episcopal Church, Liverpool, NY. Entombment ceremonies will be private.
