Esther M. Rapp, 69, of North Syracuse, passed away on Monday surrounded by family. She was born in Ogdensburg, NY to Clifford and Evelyn Gladle on April 1, 1945. Esther was an avid gamer. She also enjoyed reading and sitting in the sun. Esther was a devoted mother of 5, grandmother of 8, great grandmother of 4 and companion.
Esther is survived by her companion, Edward Sobotka of 41 years; 5 children, Fred Rapp, Diana Montclair, Michelle Andrus, Heather Sobotka and Shawn Sobotka; 8 grandchildren, Jyll, Tiffany, Jeremy, Jessa, Tara, Christopher, Isabell and Isaiah; 4 great grandchildren, Braedyn, Cameron, Lyrik and Mason; 4 siblings, Sally McNitt, Lyle Gladle, Joe Gladle, Madge Gladle; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Esther to the ASPCA, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 96929, Washington DC 20090.
