January 31, 2004 Estelle C. "Mama Chris" Miller passes away on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Community General Hospital. Born in Dilon, SC on July 12, 1910, she came to Syracuse in 1941. She is a member of Hopps Memorial C.M.E. Church where she has servedon the Missionary, Stewardess Usher Boards and The Flower Club. She is a charter member of the Good Samaritan Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 30. She is survived by four daughters, Lizzie Turk, Donnie Herring, Isabel Roberts Brown and Sonya Roberts Hunter all of Syracuse, and one son, Lonnie Roberts of Harleyville, SC; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Funeral services will be on Friday at 12 p.m. at Hopps Memorial C.M.E. Church, 1110 State Street, Syracuse with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are invited to call on THURSDAY from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church.
