Erwin E. "Pa" Broton, 82, of Clay died Saturday at home following a courageous battle with cancer. He retired from Genegraphics. Ed enjoyed golf, travelling and spending time with his family. Ed was a US Navy veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Erwin was predeceased by his wife Barbara Ann DePeyster
Redhead Broton who died in 2004 and a brother, David Broton who died in 2003.
He is survived by daughters, Teri Knight of Albany, Sue Ann (Joe) Beck of Doylestown, PA, Bonnie Walker of Sharpsburg, GA, Sherry (Jesse) Willis of Solvay and Cindy (Gary) Adams of Cicero; brothers, Chester Broton of Charleston, SC and Philip (Shirley) Broton of Lakeland; sister-in-law, Helen Broton of Syracuse; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
