Emma R. Benishek, 80, of Canastota, passed away after a lengthy illness on Thursday at James Square Nursing Home.
She was born on December 18, 1932 in Canastota, NY, daughter of Frank and Alice Smith of Canastota. Emma worked at Worlock Stone, Co. for 20 years and retired in 1994. Emma is of the Catholic Faith. Emma enjoyed watching TV, including her soap operah's.
Surviving 2 sons, Louis & Michael Benishek, 2 daughters, Crystal O'Herin, Lisa Maiura, step-son, Joseph Benishek, step-daughter, Shirley Burns, along with several grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday August 24th from 10-11am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
