Emma M. Riel, 99, of Clay, passed away Wednesday at the Sunnyside Care Center. She retired from Syracuse China with 15 years of service. Emma and her predeceased husband of 60 years, Charles H. Riel Sr., were very active with the 1st United Methodist Church of Phoenix, participating in numerous activities and committees. She is predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by 2 sons, Charles H. (Rose) Riel Jr. of Clay, William T. (Mary Jo) Riel recently of Brewerton; 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bernadine of Virginia and Esther West Virginia; and numerous neices and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, 10 AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY. Calling Hour will be Saturday from 9-10AM at the funeral home, before services.
