Emma H. (Petrie) Eaton, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 90. Born in Albany, to Raymond and Goldie (Switzer) Petrie. She was the oldest of 14 children, 9 girls and 5 boys. She was predeceased by her husband, Myron in 1988 and her son, William Petrie in 2012.
Surviving are her sister, Dorothy Stacey, Fulton, Lois (Pete) Merritt, Syracuse, 2 daughters, Georgia May (George) Benz, Syracuse, Nancy (George) Fowler, Sparta, GA, son, Paul (Judy) Berry, Tully, daughter-in-law, Faith Petrie, Romulus, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with her 2 special nieces, Marie Rosso, FL and Beth Kluczynski, Cato and her nephew, Joseph Wieczorek, Jordan, NY.
Services will be private.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, Loretto Nursing Home and the Bernadine Apts., for their loving care.
Donations, in lieu of flowers may be made to Loretto and the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corp.
