Emilio U. Serrano, 97, of Liverpool, passed away Saturday at Upstate University Hospital. Born in Laguna, Philippines, retired as Assistant Chief, Journal Division, Philippine Congress. Also retired from NY Penn Central. Emilio was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. He is predeceased by his wife, Soledad C. Serrano in 1989.

He is survived by four sons, Renato from Virginia Beach, VA, Emilito (Rosita) from Los Angeles, CA, Roel from Liverpool, NY and Emmanuel (Evelyn) Serrano from Clay, NY; one daughter, Rita Serrano from Las Vegas, NV; two granddaughters, Melissa Serrano from Maui, HA and Michelle Burke from McLean, VA; and one great grandson, Will Burke; and beloved dog, Nikki.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, 10AM at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dewitt. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the CNYSPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
