Elnora "Nora" (Thompson) Fike

Nora (Thompson) Fike, of Liverpool, New York, formerly of Crowley, Louisiana, passed away Thursday at home, surrounded by family.
Nora honorably served in the US Air Force during the Korean War where she met the love of her life, Walter J. Fike.
She devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed sewing and listening to country music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was always saying "JeTaime" before they left. She loved her Lord and Savior and looked forward to meeting her departed loved ones.
Predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Fike in 2011; daughter, Sandra Downey in 2000; her parents, Dorsina and JL Thompson; one brother, Anthony Thompson and two sisters, Barbara Comeaux and Gerry Guidry.
Survived by her children, Mary (Tim) Botsford, Barbara (Earl) Turner, Walter A., and Kenneth (Clara); 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Nathan (Joyce) Thompson and two sisters, Patricia Meaux and Margery "Midge" Fontenot and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4-7PM Tuesday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Funeral Service will be 10am Wednesday, also at the funeral home. Burial at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salvation Army.
