Ellen Rose went to be with her Lord on October 2nd at the age of 95.
Ellen was born in Wilmington, NC to Rudolph and Cecilia Duncan.
She lived in Wilmington until 1946 when she moved to New York State with her husband Vincent and their two children. She returned to Wilmington in 1976 but came back to the Syracuse area in 2007 to live closer to her daughter.
While she resided in Wilmington she was a communicant of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ on Oleander Drive.
Ellen is predeceased by her parents, her husband Vincent Meyer, her youngest son Kenneth and her 3 siblings Rudolph Jr, Jack, and William.
She is survived by her son William Meyer (Kathleen) of Little River, SC, daughter Cheryl Hickein of Fayetteville, NY, nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at Oleander Memorial Gardens in Wilmington at a future date. Contributions can be made in her memory to First Christian Church, 2035 Oleander Dr, Wilmington NC 28403.
