Ellen M. Gaines, 68, of Chittenango, passed away on Thursday in Mattydale. She was born on November 15, 1943 in Louisville, NY daughter of Alfred and Edna Deleel. At one time Ellen worked at Manth Brownell and on March 28, 1981 she was married to Stephen Gaines.
Surviving are her husband, Stephen, of 31 years, daughter, Jennifer Dorsey, 6 grandchildren, 3 brothers; Floyd, Charlie, Alfred, 3 sisters; Jane, Anne and Catherine. She enjoyed evening walks and time with her friends and grandchildren.
There are no calling hours and services will be private.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or to American Cancer Society.
