Betty York, 96, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at the Bishop Health and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness.
She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2004.
Betty worked at the Harrison Bakery for many years beginning in 1953. She also worked at W.T. Grants in Syracuse as a waitress, the VA Hospital, and the MONY Bldg.
Most of all Betty cherished her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children; Ellen Doupe, Mary (Tom) Stuhler, William (Linda) York, Theresa (Mike) Jones, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse with services to follow.
