Elizabeth Jane Durkin Tortorello "Betty", 76, of North Syracuse passed away Friday at her home with her family by her side. She was employed at Crouse Hinds Co. for several years. Betty was a warm and loving Mother and devoted wife. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Joseph Tortorello, who she loved dearly; sisters, Theresa Durkin Fabianek and Catherine Durkin Grady.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Jonathan) Holmes; sons, Joseph (Annette), Kenneth (Maria) Tortorello; brothers, James (Rose) and Harry (Hilda) Durkin; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday 10AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
