Elizabeth O. Baker, 62, of Lowell, MA and Alexandria Bay, died Thursday afternoon at River Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1953 in Yokohama, Japan, daughter of John and Setsuko Baker. She graduated from Cicero High School and later received Masters Degrees from both Brockport State and Stony Brook. She worked for many years as a Certified Nurse Midwife at Lowell Community Health Center, in Lowell, MA.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother Setsuko Baker of North Syracuse; three daughters, Kathryn S. "Kate" Garlock, Erin M. Garlock, and Lauren A. Garlock, all of Alexandria Bay; the father of her children, David Garlock, also of Alexandria Bay; a brother, Robert Baker; and two sisters, Judy Doherty and Susan Baker.
She was predeceased by her father John as well as her brother, John Baker III, and her sister Pauline Green.
Calling hours will be on Friday, November 20th, from 10:30-11:30 AM, at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
A memorial service will begin at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery.
