Elizabeth (Barkowski) Cormier

Elizabeth Cormier, 87 of North Syracuse passed away on Saturday.
Born in Natrona, PA, on November 2, 1926, Elizabeth moved to North Syracuse in 1963.
She has resided in Charlotte, NC, with her daughter and son-in-law for the past 5 ½ years.
Elizabeth worked as a meat wrapper for Sweetheart Market and Laurettis Butcher Block for 22 years before retiring.
She was predeceased by her second husband of 22 years, Leonard E. Cormier and by her first husband of 32 years, Chester E. Barkowski.
Elizabeth is survived by her children Carol (Marc) Cormier, Cindy (Craig) Kachline and Gary (Jane Ingison) Barkowski, 2 grandsons, Joseph Accarino and John Accarino Jr. Her stepchildren Leonard Cormier III, Diana Stagnetti, Roxanne (Harold) Wiemeier, and Marc (Carol) Cormier, many step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren
She is also survived by her sister Lee Saracco of Pittsburgh, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday 10am at St. Rose of Lima, N. Syracuse. Burial at Assumption Cemetery.
