Elizabeth "Betty" Calabria, 93, of East Syracuse passed away peacefully Tuesday with her family by her side.
Betty was born in Hamilton, NY. She met the love of her life, Tony Calabria, in a fairy tale love story most would dream of; and the two married November 1, 1947.
Betty devoted her life to loving and caring immensely for her family. She raised six children that meant the world to her. She continued to provide love, dedication and support as her family grew. She considered herself blessed to have 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Betty was a kind and compassionate soul. She welcomed everyone that came into her life with open arms. All whom loved her dearly will never forget her warmth, wisdom, compassion, resourcefulness, resilience, and strength.
Betty enjoyed music and loved playing along to live music on her tambourine. She especially loved jamming out to rock and roll songs
Her family has comfort to know she is happily dancing in the clouds, along with her husband, shaking that tambourine.
She was predeceased by the love of her life, Tony Calabria in 2002.
She is survived by her children, Kathy Raymond, Tony Calabria, Chris (Steve) Stephens, Marie Stevens, Valerie Dillon, and Pat Calabria; 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
