Elfriede M. Raaflaub, 86 of Syracuse, NY, passed away on December 19th, 2022. She was born, raised and lived in Mattydale where she raised her two children.
Her happy place was the kitchen where she loved to cook and bake. Christmas was one of her favorite times, when she would bake all of her holiday goodies - they will surely be missed.
Predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Raaflaub Sr., her parents Wilhelm and Erna Sum, her sister Margaret Klein.
Survived by her two children Richard (Jean) Raaflaub Jr. and Dawn (David) Frateschi; three grandchildren Samantha (Tony), Corey and Melanie (Dan).
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 from 9-11am. Funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Peregrine Senior Living Facility for the wonderful love, care and compassion they bestowed on our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, which held a special place in her heart with the adoption of her beloved dog, Mattie.
