Egidio "Jim" Gervasio, 80, of Parish, passed away on Monday at home. He was born on June 6, 1934, son of the late Vito and Carmela & Rose Gervasio. Jim was very strong willed and held on throughout his many years of illness. He is predeceased by a brother, Concetto Gervasio and a beautiful loving sister, Angelina Consilvio.
Surviving are 6 daughters; Vera Ayers, Cicero, Carmelina Gervasio, Parish, Sue Gervasio, Cicero, Christina Gervasio, N. Syracuse Joanna Gervasio, Clay, Jennifer Gervasio, N.C., 12 grandchildren; Jessica, Anthony, Michael, Corey, James, Cassandra, Brittany, Ashley, Caitlin, Jordyn, Joshie, Johnnie, 6 great grandchildren, 3 sisters; Mellina Remson, Josie Gervasio & Gina Gervasio-Zargarian. The daughters would like to extend a special thank-you to his niece Maryann Russo, and Marilyn Brady & Maria Berry.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Friday 10am at St. John the Baptist, Syracuse.
