Edwin R. Alexander Jr.

Edwin R. Alexander Jr., 66, of Oriskany Falls, NY passed away peacefully on June 1, 2016 with family by his side after losing the battle to scleroderma.
Born in Randolph, Vermont on March 18, 1950, he was the son of the late Edwin Alexander and Florianna Green Alexander.
Edwin is survived by his daughter, Charity Leslie, her husband Langston Leslie, and two granddaughters, Naya and Adelynn Leslie of Oriskany Falls, NY; a grandson, Marine Corporal Zackary Babin stationed in North Carolina; two sisters, Rena Gallant of Matapedia, Quebec and Tina Manville of Wilmington, North Carolina; and two brothers Michael Alexander of West Swanzey, NH and John Alexander.
Edwin spent most of his life in New Hampshire, moving to New York when he became ill. As an experienced tool and die maker, he was an avid reader and enjoyed music. Edwin had an accomplished intellect. He was a generous, witty, dedicated individual who loved his family. He found his greatest joy living with his daughter after his illness and being a part of his grand-children's daily life. He was able to teach them about the world around them and instill in them some of who he was, all while encouraging them to pursue their goals. Edwin will be remembered as an awesome story teller, who always looked at the positives.
For all of those who had the pleasure of knowing Edwin, please attend a scheduled barbecue for July 9th at 3PM to celebrate his life, not his passing.
