Edwin J. Pierce

January 19, 1943 — August 31, 2015

Edwin J. "Skip" Pierce, 72, formerly of N. Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by family and friends. Skip was most recently a groundskeeper at North Medical Center where he enjoyed operating his BOBCAT. He previously worked at NS Hwy Dept., Iron Wkrs 60 and Laborers 40. Skip enjoyed traveling, reading, the oldies, Elvis and classic country. Most important to Skip was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Skip is survived by his wife of 50 yrs, Judy (Nutting); daughters, Brenda (Tim See) and Wendy (Todd) Forman; grandchildren, Carley (Derrick Furco) and Zacharey; sisters, Vivian Ritter of FL, Alberta Gautreaux of LA and Karen Delisle of B.C.; brothers, Keith of Lyncourt and Gary of Utah; sister-in-law, Janet Nolan of L'Pool and brother-in-law, Jack Nutting of CO.

Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse with a service to follow at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of CNY.
