Edward T. Carney

Edward T. Carney, 80, of Syracuse, New York died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse.

Ed worked as a Chef at several area restaurants. He was very active with the Ida Benderson Senior Center where he volunteered as a cook.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Maryann in 1997.

Surviving are a son, Edward (Mary Ann) Carney of Liverpool, New York; daughter, Patricia (Joseph) Simko of Central Square, New York; brothers, Donald Carney of Potsdam, New York and Ernie Carney of Tennesee;
two grandchildren, Michael Carney and Lindsay (Eric) Ralston.

Services will be 10 AM on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at New Comer Funeral Home, North Syracuse, New York. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse, New York. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 4-7PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main St.
