Edward R. Sciore, 72, of Clay, passed away Wednesday at home with his family by his side. Born in Elmira, NY, he was raised in Watkins Glen and graduated from SUNY Brockport. Ed was a social studies teacher for Cicero-North Syracuse High School and retired from there after 35 years of service. Ed's passions in life were his family, golf, jazz music and traveling. Ed was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and will be deeply missed.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann; son, Michael; daughters, Catherine (Peter) Quinn and Mary Beth (Michael) Byrne; six grandchildren, Alexandra, Jessica, Michael, Collin, Nicholas and Kayla; his sister, Lucia Sciore; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.
