Edward V. Kennar, 78, of Syracuse passed away on September 29, 2019. Born in Syracuse, he was a graduate of Onondaga Valley Academy and SUNY Cobleskill. He served with the Air Force in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War as a weather observer and communication specialist. He retired from Crouse-Hinds after 38 years as a Senior Computer Operator. During his retirement, he enjoyed traveling to the Bahamas and Florida and visiting friends in Nevada, Texas and Vermont as well as family in New York City.
A Memorial Mass will be 9:30am, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 425 Beechwood Ave., Liverpool NY 13088. Burial has taken place at St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church or Francis House.
