Edward J. "Eddie" Hover, Sr., 73, of Solvay, formerly of Pennellville, passed away at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Owego, NY, son of Bernard E. and Lila Mae Hover. Eddie graduated from Owego Free Academy, Class of '58 and worked for over 40 years at Schisa Bros., Inc. He was active in the Boy Scouts, he coached Little League and was an avid NASCAR Fan.
Surviving are his wife Penny, of 35 years, 3 sons; Edward, Jr. (Delia), San Bernardino, CA, Jonathan (Cathy), Placentia, CA, Mark Hover, Solvay, 3 daughters; Susan (Scott) Roarke, Parish, NY, Marianne Caroline (Ahmad Jawad), San Jacinto, CA, Jocelyn A. Jeansonne, Round Rock, TX, 2 brothers; David E., Alaska and James Hover, DeWitt,12 grandchildren, along with 11 great grandchildren.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or to the Boys Scouts of America.
