Edward D. Elliott, 80, of Liverpool passed away Sunday at the VA Medical Center. Born in Laconia, NH he has been in the Liverpool area for the past 4 years. Edward was an Army veteran of WW II, North African and European Campaign. He was wounded in combat in Italy outside of Anizo and received a Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster. Edward was a member of the Elks, VFW and a 25 year member of the North Congregational Church where he served as Deacon. Edward is predeceased by a son Ernest (1967), and siblings; Howard, Bob and Doris.
Edward is survived by his wife; Mildred (DeLangis) Elliott, daughter; Donna (George) McLaughlin, a brother; Forrest Elliott, a sister; Hazel Quain, two grandchildren; Tara Romeo and Megan Van Ornum, four great grandchildren; Ashley, Nichole, Garrett and Cayla and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 7 PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in New Hampshire. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home, 705 North Main Street.
