Edna (Salley) Picciotto, of Mattydale, passed away Wednesday.
She was the owner of Pat's Pizza with her late husband Patrick.
She was a loving mother and grandmother to Sherry Picciotto Mensing and Danielle Mensing. Edna was the last surviving member of her siblings. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Joseph (Betti) and Tony (Joyce) Picciotto; sister-in-law Frances Stiles and many nieces and nephews in SC and NY.
Born in Salley, SC, Edna graduated Valedictorian from high school. She worked for Southern Bell in Charleston, SC where she met her husband Pat, a Navy serviceman.
To honor her grandmother, Danielle has a Commitment to Action with the Clinton Global Initiative University titled "Social Change Through Intergenerational Dialogue," bringing together all generations to strengthen Healthcare for The Elderly. Calling hours on Wednesday from 3-6pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Funeral Service 9am on Thursday at the funeral home. Edna will be buried with her husband at Onondaga Veterans Cemetery.
