Edith M. Kauer

Edith M. Kauer, 87, passed away on Monday with her loving family by her side.

Edith was the daughter of the late Martin and Mae Schultheiss. Edie enjoyed golfing, sewing & knitting, baking, geneaology and gardening. She retired from Niagara Mohawk after many years of service. Most of all she loved her grandchildren.

Edith is survived by her children; Baxter (Susan) Brigham, Beth (Carmen) Sassano, Henry (Barbara) Brigham, grandchildren, Nicole (Justin), Heather (John), Sarah (Mark), Kim (Greg), Chris, Rebecca (Peter), Brian, Cristina (David), Caleb, great grandchild, Emmitt, brother, Henry (Ilean) Schultheiss, sisters, Mary (Lyman) Woods, Janet (George) Walters, along with nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Devin and her husband Ernest Kauer.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 10-12 noon at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with a short service at 12 noon at funeral home. Burial to immediately follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Alzheimers Association.
