Easter Backus, 77, of Syracuse, passed away December 31, 2019.
Easter was born in Krypton, Kentucky on February 10, 1942 to Artimus and Lula Campbell. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She devoted her life to her family, always caring for anyone that walked through her door.
She is survived by her children, Robert J. Backus, Jr., Tracey Backus, Tina Riley, Melinda Thomas, and Michelle Backus; her five siblings, two sisters-in-law, Brenda Dattolo, and Fran Backus; 24 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by loving husband of 51 years, Robert J. Backus, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM with a funeral service immediately following. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
