Durwood Daniels, 89, of Mooresville, passed away April 20, 2024. Durwood was born in Syracuse, New York on February 6, 1935 to Burt & Ruth Daniels
Durwood was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1953 to 1957 followed by four years in the Air National Guard, receiving an Honorable Discharge as a Staff Sergeant in 1961. Durwood was awarded the Good Conduct Medal for his demonstration of honor, efficiency and fidelity.
Durwood had a long career as a Supervisor at Syracuse China (now known as Libby, Inc.), followed by many years at Pall Trinity Micro and Iron Mountain Record Management Systems.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching Syracuse University basketball and the Buffalo Bills. He was a member of the Salt City Dart League for many years. Durwood was an active father, coaching his daughters' softball team and his son's Little League baseball team. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is Survived by wife, Barbara Daniels (Cousineau) of North Syracuse; daughters Cindy Landry of North Syracuse, Wendy (Steve) Arnone of Mooresville, NC, son Michael Daniels of North Syracuse; five grandsons, Jason (Mary) Landry, Thomas (Ashley) Kotcamp, Cody Landry, Christopher Kotcamp, Alex (Stephanie) Landry; and five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC for their unwavering compassionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
The family will hold a private service.
