Duane Edward Davis

Duane Edward Davis passed away from this life into glory on July 24, 2024. He was born January 30, 1961. He was 63 years old.

 A Celebration of his life will take place in memorial service on August 22, 2024, at Family Worship Center, 8480 Morgan Road, Clay, New York. Visitation starts at 2pm. Service begins at 3pm.

 Duane was predeceased by his mother, Delores Davis; his father, Calvin Williams; and his niece, Jenner Rowell.

 Duane is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa F. Davis (nee Allen); his sister, R. Lynn (Jeffrey Rowell); nephew, Troy Rowell; his grandniece, Kennedy; his step children, Aisha, Hana and Sulaiman (Jennifer Valerio) Palmer; his step grandchildren, Paige Valerio, Cyrus, Alissa, and Joseph Palmer and Jalen Edwards. Duane is also survived by his brothers, Aaron and Avrum Patterson of Syracuse, NY; and his brothers, Calvin, Kenny and Rondell Williams, also of Syracuse, NY.

 Duane leaves behind many cousins, friends, colleagues, and neighbors who will miss and mourn him. He was a good man. Duane always had a smile on his face, a cheerful demeanor, a listening ear, and more importantly, a generous heart. His generosity has inspired many to pay it forward. Duane was never at a loss for a song to sing.

 Duane attended local schools in the Syracuse district. He graduated from Corcoran HS. He also attended OCC where he made and cemented many musical connections that have endured decades.

 Duane was an employee of Syracuse University since 1985 and was an employee in Mail Services at the time of his passing.
