Douglas L. Burchill

Douglas L. Burchill peacefully walked with the Lord on Sunday December 6th, 2020. He was born on January 15th, 1954 in Syracuse, NY. He resided in Fayetteville, NY. He proudly served in the US military. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Deborah (Mulhauser) Burchill; sister, Theresa (David) Sullivan; brothers, Ronald (Donna) Burchill and Alan Burchill; daughters, Tonia Burchill, Melissa (John McCann) McMillen and Laura (Steven) Sgarlata; step-daughter, Heather (Al) Lancette-Taylor; step-sons, Greg (Heidi) Taylor, RJ (Kelsey) Thomas and Daniel Burchill; nieces, Colleen (Kevin) Anderton, Kathy (Chris) Cousineau and Shannon Sullivan; granddaughters, Skye, Alison, Payton, Ava, Adrianna, Dylan and Gianna; grandsons, Devin, Brian, Matthew, Camerin, Jacob, Joseph and Julian.

Doug was predeceased by his parents, Richard Burchill, Sr. and Eleanor May (Smart) Burchill; brother, Richard Burchill; grandson, Dion Burchill; great-nephew, Kevin Anderton and great-niece, Cassandra Anderton along with many other loved ones.

Visitation will take place on January 15th 3-4pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals with a private service to follow.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for support in the 14 surviving grandchildren's education. Doug and Debbie enjoyed making donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held in the future.

Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
