Douglas "Dougie" Allen Richardson (60) left us for heaven on Monday, March 31, 2014 due to heart and kidney failure.

He is predeceased by his mother, Edna and a brother, Eddie.

Dougie is survived by his:
girlfriend of the last 30 years Debbie,
daughter Tiffany,
grandchildren Sean & Phoebe,
his father and step-mother Len & Lora,
his brother Jimmie,
his sisters Patty & Shar,
and by many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and of course his beloved dogs.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at New Comer's Funeral Home on Rt 11 in North Syracuse. Calling hours are from 2-4 pm with services following right after. Burial is post-pone until Spring/Summer.


A gathering is tentatively planned for Saturday, July 19th, 2014 at Chedmardo Camp Grounds in Pulaski to celebrate Dougie's life and birthday. Updates will be posted on Friendsof Doug on Facebook, as well as right here.


Dougie had many hobbies and felt most at home outdoors; he especially loved camping, fishing and hunting.


But don't be surprised if you found this animated story teller tinkering around with his camaro or putting his trains out. You could also find him painting or fiddling with woodwork. All of these brought him great joy.
