Dorothy S. VanDerveer, 82, of Cicero, passed away Sunday. She retired from NY Telephone with 20 years of service. Dorothy was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Hallmark Club and was an Avon representative.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul A. VanDerveer; daughter, Cathy V. Jones; son, Craig P. VanDerveer; brother, Kenneth Shepard; granddaughters, Rebecca Dow and Jennifer Amerine; great grand-children, Heladio, Lilly, Ricky and Ruby; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, 1PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday from 11AM-1PM, at the funeral home, before services.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the SPCA or the Humane Assoc.
