Dorothy E. Pendell, 88, of Central Square, passed away on Friday at home surrounded by family. Dorothy was born in Syracuse on April 25, 1933. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband John of 64 years, daughter, Linda Geddings and sister, Stella Long. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was known as Gramma Grape to all the grandchildren. She also spent time crocheting (scrubbies) for all friends and family.

She is survived by her children Christine (Randall) Shaw, Mary McClowry, John Pendell, Sandra (Marvin) Anderson, Kim (Clark) Storrs, James Pendell, 24 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Barbara Wlodarczyk, Maryann Supernault, Carol (Anthony) Wasielewski, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 11 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday March 12th at 9:30am at Divine Mercy Church, Central Square.

Burial will take place at Hastings Cemetery in the Spring.
