Dorothy J. (Kravetz) Korkuc, 72, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was deeply devoted to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was known as Babc`i by her family (Polish for Grandmother). She was dearly loved and cherished by them. Dorothy was an avid golfer and bowler; she was a former president of the Westhill Tuesday Morning Ladies Golf League. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and retired from the M&T Bank.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert H. Korkuc; four daughters, Diane Korkuc, Sherry (Jim) Roese, Susan (Steve) Koegel, Kathy (Jack) Goldstein; eight grandchildren; a brother, Dan Kravetz; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Calling Hours will be Tuesday from 5-7PM at the funeral home, before services.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to either the American Red Cross or the American Cancer Society.
