Dorothie P. Cacciola

Dorothie Patricia (Pat) Cacciola passed away after a long, brave fight on September 13, 2023. Pat was born on March 21st, 1942 to Dorothie (Dixie) Gallagher and Albert (Dick) Diamond.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert and sister Mary, and a son Joseph (Lorie).

She is survived by her loving husband Sam of 61 years, who took great care of Mom when she was sick, being her fiercest advocate, which gave us all the gift of having her in our life for many more years than expected. She is also survived by two brothers, Dan and Mike, and her three children: Scott (Martha), Cindy (Mike), and Dean (Lesa). The lights of her life were her grandchildren, with whom she shared her love of crafting by teaching them how to sew, quilt, and craft. She will be dearly missed by Stephanie, Rachel, Kristen, Mike, Liz, Nick, Marissa, Dante, Luciano, Gianna, Andrew, Alex and Natalie. She also had twelve Great-Grandchildren. During her lifetime, she worked at the N. Syracuse School District, ServiceMaster, and All-Temp.

Those that knew Mom would speak to her warmth and kindness. She was a great conversationalist, and could talk for hours, giving support, love, and great advice when needed. She loved nature, and would always be on the lookout for wildlife that ventured onto their property, grooming the landscape purposely to allow passage onto her lawn so she could take pictures of them. Thank you for being a wonderful wife and mother.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday September 19, 2023 from 9-10AM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero at 10:30AM. Burial will be made in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
