Doris G. Cronin passed away peacefully on Thursday at Loretto Nursing Home with family by her side. She was born on August 30, 1918 in St. Catherine's Ontario, Canada daughter of William and Clara (Carrie) Gee. She retired from The Syracuse City School District, She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Upstate Medical Center for many years. Doris was also a fan of the Syracuse Crunch Hockey Team.

She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 1982.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Marilyn (Wayne) Garrow, Camillus, Nancy (Fred) Hoffstadt, Hendersonville, NC, a son, Daryl (Mary) Cronin, Clay, 5 grandchildren: Paul (Miriam) Garrow, Central Square, Brett (Rita) Hoffstadt, Media, PA, Tara Davis, Ball Ground, GA, Michael & Elizabeth Cronin, both of Clay, along with 8 great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow. Burial services will take place on Monday 11am at White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.


Contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or to Hospice of CNY.
