Doris F. Meyer, 78, of North Syracuse, passed away Thursday. Born in Syracuse, she worked as crossing guard for both the North Syracuse and Clay School Districts. Doris was a member of the North Syracuse VFW Ladies Aux. and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She is predeceased by Dean Meyer, 2005.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William R. Meyer; 5 daughters, Mary (Wendell) Archambo, Michele Barbour, Denise (Brian) Curry, Kathleen (Marty) Lamoureux, Candace (Stephen) Kohar; 4 sons, William (Sue) , Daniel (Crystal), Timothy (Diane), Raymond (Sheri) Meyer;4 sisters, Helen Robinson, Pauline Rozelle, Yvonne Schleir, Patricia Emmons; 1 brother, Michael Spears; 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday, 1PM at New Comer Family Funeral Home, North Syracuse. Burial will be in the North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with her family from 11-1PM at the funeral home, before services.
