Doris E. Earl, 84, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Doris was born in Salisbury, NC on June 19, 1936. Doris relocated to Syracuse where she met the love of her life, George Earl. Doris and George united in Holy Matrimony in 1954. Doris also joined Hopps Memorial CME Church in 1954 and faithfully served with the Flower Club Ministry.
Doris retired from Syracuse Stamping Co., Syracuse. After retirement from Syracuse Stamping Company, she soon became a companion caregiver and spread love by her patience and sense of humor. Doris was the epitome of a Missionary through loving words and caring actions, she let other know that God is love. Doris called a circle of members every week even when she didn't feel 100% well herself.
Doris's therapy was baking and she shared her goodies near and far. She delivered cakes, pies, cookies, etc. to nursing homes and private homes. Doris was affectionately known as the "Cake Lady". Doris did not complain or argue, she trusted God's plan and kept her eyes fixed on the Prize.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, George Earl, her son, Bryant Earl, her mother Ruth Bonner and her brother, James Bonner, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Annette Earl Bonner, son, Jamil (Karen) Earl, three grandchildren, Bryant (Nicole) Earl, Jr., Jordan Kilduff, Olivia Kilduff and a great granddaughter, Ariana Kilduff.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 9:30 - 11am at Hopps Memorial CME Church, 1110 S. State St., Syracuse, with services at 11am. Burial will take place at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery .
