Doris A. Collins, 98, formerly of Liverpool, passed away Thursday. She was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania and moved to Syracuse in 1948. Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

She was predeceased by her husband, Al in 1994; grandson, Michael in 1988; her son, Gary in April, 2014.

She is survived by two children, Richard Collins and Susan (Bill) Poworoznek; six grandchildren, Jeff (Paula) Collins, Heather (Eric) Albro, Heidi (Scott) Claxton, Amanda (Jake) Crabtree, Alex Poworoznek and Matthew Poworoznek; seven great grandchildren; daughter in law, Sue Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 11-1PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 1PM. Burial will be at Onondaga Valley Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to the Food Bank of CNY.
