Donna J. Thompson

Donna J. Thompson, 61, of Syracuse, passed away July 19, 2022. Donna was born in Syracuse, New York on September 21, 1960 to Stanley and Charlotte Getek. She was a graduate of North Syracuse High School, class of 1978. Donna was the head house keeper for the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception Church, where she took great pride in her work. She was a beautiful soul and had a big heart that was reflected in her interactions with the world. She was an animal lover. Donna was loved by everyone and will always be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by father, Stanley Getek and mother, Charlotte.

She is survived by her love of twelve years, Leslie D'Amico; son, Bryan Marascalchi; dog Chloe; siblings, Robert (Pamela) Getek, Richard (Sharon) Getek, Susan (Kevin) Lee, Stanley (Grace) Getek, Sheila (Thomas) Roux, David (Cindy) Getek, Michael (Crystal) Getek; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception on Tuesday July 26th at 9:30am, 259 E. Onondaga St. Syracuse, New York 13202. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse, NY 13208.
