Donna V. Cooney, 69, of North Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born in Syracuse on July 10, 1948 daughter of Millens and Yvonne Eames.

Donna was a secretary at North Syracuse School District for many years, starting off at Allen Road Elementary and completing her career at the District Office. Donna enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with family. She also spent her time golfing and was a member of Northern Pines Golf Club.

Donna is survived by her son Thomas P. Cooney Jr. of North Syracuse, daughter Kimberly (Matthew) Glidden of Baldwinsville, mother Yvonne Eames, grandchildren Nathan and Morgan Glidden, and sister Yvonne Starliper.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Sr. and her father Millens Eames.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 12th from 2-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse with services immediately following.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association.
