Donald J. Raesky

Donald J. Raesky, 67, of East Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Monday September 30, 2024. Donald was born in Syracuse on January 20, 1957, the son of the late Donald and Helen Raesky. Don spent the bulk of his carpentry career with Time Cap Development, a local company in Syracuse NY. Don was an avid sports fan and spent any time he could rooting for the Syracuse Orange, New York Yankees, and Detroit Lions. Don always found joy in a monthly breakfast get together with his lifelong friends; Tom R., Brad, Tom B., & Chuck. He would frequently attend classic car shows, reliving the cars of his teenage years and early adulthood, admiring craftsmanship of the eras and the history that went along with them.

He is survived by his 3 brothers, Michael (Margaret) Raesky, William Raesky & Timothy Raesky, his 2 nephews, Nicholas and Christopher, as well as his cousins in both Ohio and New York.

An hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday October 9, 2024 from 10-11am at St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse followed by Mass at 11am. Burial will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Marcellus after the conclusion of the Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local SPCA or to the Humane Society in spirit of Don's passionate love for animals, especially his beloved dogs.
