Donald R. Osier, 77, of Syracuse, passed away January 14th surrounded by his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Adsit) Osier. He was a Navy Veteran, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1832, serving as a Past Commander and active Color & Honor Guard. Don was a professional truck driver for many years and retired from Empire Medicare Services. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed and loved the game of golf, honoring his fellow veterans and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by a son, Todd R. Osier.
He is survived by his loving former wife, Madeline (Ospelt) Osier; four children, Keith Osier, Kimberly Carrete and Kristine (Mark) Romano, all of Syracuse and Kevin Osier of Spokane, WA; eight grandchildren, Marissa, Seth, Mariah, Natalie, Andrew, Ethan, Eva and Addison; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 2-4PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 4 PM.
