Donald H Martin

Donald H. Martin Sr., 89, of Central Square, NY, formerly of Brewerton, NY, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2020. He was born to parents, Lillian Mae Stone and Lloyd Leon Martin on June 26th, 1930. He was a U.S. Airforce Veteran, who served in the 3rd A.F.D.S., a Hydrogen Bomb Squadron, during the Korean War.
Don loved to play baseball. He was on the Air Force Allstar team in Japan and Korea while in service. He worked out with the Spokane Indians, a farm team of the New York Yankees in the North Pacific Coast League. He later founded Martins Electric, a Pappy League team, and played for the Senior Cyclones of Syracuse NY for many happy years.
Don owned his own business for many years, Martin's Electric and Refrigeration, working as an electrician. Most importantly, Don loved and cared for his family.
He is survived by his children, Jodi Desimone, Lisa Martin, and Donald (Susan) Martin Jr.; Grandchildren, Mitchell (Tiffany) Desimone, Elizabeth Desimone and Great-grandchildren, Isabella Desimone and Norah Desimone. Also surviving is his loving companion of many years, Shirley Van Tassell, and his several nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his Sister, Dawn Greene and Nephew, David Greene.
